Rules and safety

Noise:
Strict noise standards apply on the circuit. If your car makes too much noise according to the circuit management, you will be taken off the track. For the maximum sound see the information of the specific day

Start numbers etc.:
Every participating car must be provided with start numbers. You can pick up the starting numbers at the registration table. When picking up the bib numbers, you must sign and hand in this disclaimer. In case of multiple drivers for 1 car, each driver must fill in an indemnity. The starting numbers must be attached to the car before you take the car on the track.

Briefing:
This is provided in writing or given orally on the day itself. In the case of an oral briefing, every participant is obliged to attend this briefing. The location of the briefing will be announced to you in good time by the organization. After the briefing, the transponders (if any) are handed out.
Safety:
• Have respect for each other and for each other's material.
• Follow the riders briefing if given or read the written briefing beforehand. Follow instructions from the organization. Stick to the rules and respect the flag signals.
• Every rider must have a driver's license or racing license.
• Wearing a helmet is mandatory, put on your seat belts and keep windows closed. Also make sure you have decent clothing. The best is of course a racing suit. If you don't have one, make sure you wear long-sleeved cotton clothing. Do not wear polyester or other plastic clothing.
• The lane in the pit lane must remain FREE (for emergency vehicles)
Flags and codes:
• Black and white checkered flag- Finish flag. The session is over. Reduce speed, do not overtake and continue slowly until you are caught at the point where you leave the track.
• Yellow Flag- Something has happened. You must immediately reduce speed and must absolutely not overtake. After a green flag, you can pick up speed again. Be prepared for anything.
• White flag- There is a slow-moving vehicle on the track. Reduce speed immediately, do not overtake, until you have carefully overtaken the slow-moving vehicle. Be prepared for anything.
• Red flag- The session has been stopped. You must immediately reduce speed and must absolutely not overtake. Drive slowly until you are caught. Be prepared for anything. In any case, continue driving in such a way that you do not block any emergency services. A restart may follow, await further instructions in the pit lane.
• Red/yellow striped flag- Oil or other slipperiness on the course, which can cause danger. Slip hazard, be aware of unexpected situations.
• Black flag- You have been taken out of the session, reduce speed and finish the lap. Stop at the race control and ask what is going on or what needs to be done next. The black flag is almost always given in combination with a sign with the number of the driver in question.
• Green flag- Is given as a sign that a previous warning of danger (e.g. in the event of a yellow in two previous rounds, an oil flag that has been hung for a long time, etc.) is no longer in force. The green flag indicates that there is a safe situation again, only then can you speed up again.
• Blue flag - there is a faster participant behind you. Keep in mind that it will pass you.
Overtaking:
• If you are approaching a slower participant; The car in front of you always has priority. Never overtake unless you are sure that this can be done without danger.
• If you are overtaken by a faster participant; Give the other person the opportunity to pass, but above all don't do unexpected things. The faster participant will overtake you where it is safe to do so.
General:
• This is a (training) track day, not a race.
• Dangerous driving will result in exclusion from the rest of the event, without a refund of participation fee.
• Convertibles are allowed on the circuit under certain conditions, please consult with the organization in advance.
• Pit boxes can be rented.
• Only participating cars (with starting number) are allowed to be in the pit lane. In the morning there is the possibility to unload things in the pit lane, cars/vans etc. must then be parked behind the pits.
Indemnification clause and signature:
The undersigned, participant in this event, declares that he/she is aware of the fact that participation in the said event entails risks for damages/personal injury/property damage and consequential damages, both for him/her and for third parties. That she herself is liable for damage to passengers with the undersigned and never the organization of this event. If it turns out that you have acted fraudulently, you are always liable for all consequential damage resulting from this.
The participant declares that he has taken note of the questions asked on this form and understands them. The participant can read this at the organization. The participant also declares that this statement has been made available to him/her prior to participation in the event, that he/she has had sufficient opportunity to read its content and that he/she expressly accepts the content.

The participant explicitly assumes these risks. DriversDays, the owners of DriversDays and other persons designated by them (officials and employees), hereinafter referred to as the Organisation, and the circuit do not accept any liability for any damage suffered by the participant in connection with this event. The participant declares that he/she will not hold or hold the Organisation, the circuit and/or their officials and employees, nor the above-mentioned legal persons and persons, liable for any damage suffered by him/her, material or immaterial, including personal injury.

The participant declares to be sure that the owner of the car with which the participant participates agrees to the participation of the car in this event and is aware of all risks that may arise from this. This also means that you can never hold other drivers liable for damage.

The participant takes responsibility for any damage caused by him to the circuit or buildings thereto.
The participant also declares that only he/she will drive the car himself and if not, he/she accepts all risks of any other driver as his/her own, as well as that the car meets the noise standards applicable to this event. This indemnity covers all event events during this event.
Due to legal requirements, the circuit is obliged to measure the noise pollution.
The participant declares that the aforementioned risks may also arise from his own acts or omissions, acts or omissions of third parties, technical or mechanical defects in vehicles or materials, conditions on and around the circuit, weather conditions, oil, liquids, dirt or obstacles on the track, collisions, fire, failure of facilities and/or the actions of emergency services. officials or other persons involved in the event, even if these risks were not fully known in advance.

The participant also declares that he/she will never hold or hold another participant or visitor of the event liable for any damage suffered by him/her, material or immaterial, including personal injury, even if this damage is caused by another participant or visitor, insofar as this can be legally excluded. This provision also applies as a third-party clause for the benefit of all other participants and visitors to the event and is intended to enable them to invoke this provision, to the extent permitted by law. This declaration is only valid insofar as the law allows for contractual deviations.

This indemnification applies regardless of the legal basis of any claim, including contractual liability, tort, tort, civil liability and any other legal basis, and applies to the fullest extent permitted by law.

The participant indemnifies the Organisation and the circuit against all claims from third parties that are the result of any act or omission of the participant, of a vehicle driven or used by him/her, or of a co-driver, passenger or other driver brought by him/her, to the extent permitted by law.

The Organisation and the circuit accept no liability for loss, theft or damage to vehicles, parts, tools, clothing or other property of the participant or visitors, to the extent permitted by law.
This statement and all legal relationships arising from it are governed by Dutch law and Dutch law is leading. Insofar as mandatory provisions of the country where the event takes place cannot be validly excluded, these provisions remain applicable.

If any provision of this Declaration is found to be void, voidable or otherwise unenforceable, in whole or in part, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. In that case, the provision in question will be replaced by a legally valid provision that comes as close as possible to its content and purport.

Publications:
By placing my signature, I give permission for the use of (moving) image material, possibly including sound recordings made during DriversDays meetings. These recordings can also be used by DriversDays in combination with my car, image and name in communications. The expressions will mainly be used in the social media channels of DriversDays and the DriversDays website, but it is also possible that the images are used for commercial written and image media. Of course, we handle the data and the material with care. Images of irregularities/crashes may never be shared without the explicit permission of DriversDays.
By signing this document, the signatory declares to have taken note of the content and to agree to it.
